We want to show the personalities behind the business, create content people relate to and laugh at, showcase the work our team carries out and build a recognisable online brand. You'll have a huge amount of creative freedom. If you've got an idea and think it'll work, we want you to try it. Important This is not a remote social media role. We are looking for a confident, creative and outgoing Social Media & Content Creator to join our team full-time. We don't want corporate, boring social media. We want someone who can capture the real personality behind SheaWorks - our engineers, our office team, the jobs we attend, the chaos, the laughs and everything that happens in between. You'll need to be confident both behind AND in front of the camera, full of ideas and happy to get involved. One day you could be creating funny, relatable content with the office team; the next you could be heading into London to meet one of our engineers on site and film a day in their life. What You'll Be Doing You'll take ownership of SheaWorks' social media presence and create regular, engaging content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn. Your role will include: Planning, filming, editing and posting social media content Regularly appearing in content yourself Creating funny and relatable office content with the SheaWorks team Travelling to jobs and meeting our engineers on site to capture real-life content Filming project transformations, behind-the-scenes footage and completed works Creating "day in the life" content with our engineers Coming up with challenges, trends, interviews and entertaining video ideas Creating educational content and simple electrical/property tips Interviewing engineers and team members on camera Keeping up with TikTok, Instagram and social media trends and adapting them for SheaWorks Producing Reels, TikToks, Stories, photographs and other short-form content Editing videos ready for posting Writing captions and scheduling posts Responding to comments and helping grow our online community Creating more professional content for LinkedIn alongside our fun social content Capturing company milestones, new starters, apprentices, training, team events and achievements Helping build the personalities of our engineers and office team online Tracking what performs well and creating more of the content our audience actually engages with Who We're Looking For We're looking for personality as much as experience. You'll ideally be someone who: Is naturally confident and not camera shy Has a good sense of humour Is comfortable approaching people and getting them involved Understands what makes TikTok and Instagram content entertaining Can spot content opportunities without constantly needing to be told what to film Is creative and constantly thinking of new ideas Can film and edit short-form video to a high standard Is organised enough to maintain a consistent content schedule Is comfortable working in a busy office environment Is happy travelling to sites across London, Essex and surrounding areas Can switch between funny, informal content and polished professional content when needed Understands that sometimes the best-performing content isn't perfectly polished - it's real, relatable and entertaining Experience using platforms or software such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe, TikTok and Instagram would be beneficial. Experience within construction or electrical services is not essential - we'll teach you that. We'd much rather find someone with the right personality, creativity and understanding of social media. The Opportunity SheaWorks is a growing, family-run electrical and building services business with a large team of engineers working across London, Essex and surrounding areas. There's always something happening. We want someone to come in and make our social media feel completely different from the typical construction company. We want people to follow SheaWorks even if they don't currently need an electrician. We want to show the personalities behind the business, create content people relate to and laugh at, showcase the work our team carries out and build a recognisable online brand. You'll have a huge amount of creative freedom. If you've got an idea and think it'll work, we want you to try it. Important This is not a remote social media role. A huge part of the job is being around the SheaWorks team, capturing spontaneous content and getting out on site with our engineers. You'll be based from our Harlow office and regularly travel to sites to create content. You'll also need to be comfortable appearing regularly on SheaWorks' social channels yourself. How to Apply Don't just send us a standard CV. Show us what you can do. Send us your CV along with your TikTok, Instagram, portfolio or examples of content you've created . We may ask you to send us a short video introducing yourself and telling us why you think you'd be perfect for SheaWorks, something to really get our attention! This is an opportunity to take ownership of European marketing for a rapidly growing global automotive technology business operating at the heart of the performance, tuning, diagnostics and calibration market. You'll have genuine autonomy to develop the strategy, create campaigns, shape content and decide how the brand engages with tuners, dealers and automotive enthusiasts across Europe. And this isn't a marketing role where you'll spend your life briefing agencies from behind a desk. You'll be close to the cars, customers and content, from dealer visits and product launches to race events, video shoots, influencers and social media. If you're commercially minded, creative and genuinely passionate about cars, this could be a fantastic role to make your own. Why Apply? £43,000 - £48,000 basic salary, with flexibility for exceptional experience Annual bonus potential of 10% 7% employer pension contribution AXA private healthcare after probation Life assurance at 4x salary after probation 22 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays Significant autonomy over European marketing strategy Work within the automotive performance and tuning industry Opportunity to influence the growth of a rapidly expanding global automotive technology business International exposure and travel Work alongside a passionate automotive team The Opportunity You'll report directly to the Director of European Operations and take responsibility for how the business markets itself across Europe. Your objective is straightforward: increase brand awareness, engage the right automotive audiences and help drive sales growth. You'll own the European marketing strategy and budget, but you'll also remain close to delivery. That means developing campaigns, directing content, overseeing social media, managing paid advertising, supporting product launches, working with influencers, attending automotive events and making sure marketing activity translates into commercial results. Content & Social Media Content is a major part of this role. You'll lead the social media strategy and manage the Social Media Coordinator, providing the ideas, direction and commercial thinking behind the content being produced. You'll therefore need to understand the whole content creation process, not simply how to post on social media. Digital Marketing You'll also take responsibility for the wider digital journey. That includes developing paid advertising campaigns across Meta platforms, defining audiences and messaging, monitoring performance and creating landing pages that convert interest into enquiries and sales. You'll work with the wider international web team to develop the European website, monitor performance through Google Analytics and identify improvements in customer engagement and conversion. Influencers, Events & the Automotive Community This is where your genuine interest in cars becomes particularly important. Working With Sales Marketing and sales won't operate in separate worlds. You'll work closely with the European sales team, using customer feedback and commercial priorities to influence campaigns and content. What We're Looking For There are two things that are particularly important. You need to understand the automotive aftermarket or tuning industry. And you need to genuinely love cars. You'll be creating content for people who understand tuning, performance and vehicle technology, so you'll need the interest and credibility to understand what will resonate with them. You'll also need: Strong experience developing and executing marketing strategy Excellent knowledge of social media and content creation Experience of storyboarding, scripting, filming and editing The ability to conceptualise and direct creative campaigns Paid social experience, particularly Meta Google Analytics experience Adobe Creative Suite knowledge Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisational and project management skills Confidence managing multiple campaigns and priorities A creative, inquisitive and commercially minded approach Additional European language skills would be advantageous. Where Will You Work? Ideally, you'll be based at the European office in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. However, there is some flexibility for an exceptional UK candidate who cannot relocate, with hybrid working considered on the basis of a minimum three days per week in the Letchworth office. Why Consider It? This is a chance to combine a professional marketing career with a genuine automotive passion. You won't simply inherit a calendar of campaigns and be asked to keep them running. You'll have the autonomy to decide how the brand grows its European presence, which audiences it targets, what content it creates and how marketing can contribute directly to sales. If cars are what you talk about outside work as well as something you understand professionally, this could be exactly the sort of marketing role you've been looking for. Apply today, and Stewart Lupton at JSL Solutions, specialist in industrial and automotive aftermarket recruitment, will be in touch. Alternatively, call Stewart for further information.
