This is a unique opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take a senior role within a nationally important capital programme that will transform healthcare delivery across Greater Manchester. The redevelopment forms part of the Government's New Hospital Programme, representing a major investment of GBP1-1.5bn into modern, sustainable and resilient healthcare infrastructure. This once-in-a-generation transformation will deliver a new hospital campus designed to improve patient care, enhance operational efficiency and provide a modern healthcare environment for future generations. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, supporting managers with day-to-day people matters and ensuring the business remains compliant and commercially focused. The successful candidate will be a proactive, pragmatic HR professional who enjoys building relationships, taking ownership and operating within a fast-paced operational environment. This role would suit either an experienced HR Manager looking for a broad standalone position or a confident HR Officer seeking a step up in responsibility. Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Employee Relations Act as the first point of contact for all employee-related matters. Provide practical and commercially focused HR advice to managers and employees. Manage the employee lifecycle including onboarding, probation, performance management and offboarding. Support employee relations activities including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and capability processes. Escalate complex ER matters where appropriate whilst maintaining ownership of day-to-day issues. Ensure HR records, systems and documentation remain accurate and compliant. Compliance & Administration Maintain compliance across HR policies, procedures and employment legislation. Support audits, accreditations and quality management requirements. Monitor employee qualifications, certifications and training requirements. Identify compliance risks proactively and recommend solutions. Assist with the implementation and ongoing management of the company's HR system. Recruitment & Workforce Planning Manage end-to-end recruitment activity across the business. Develop and maintain a proactive recruitment pipeline, particularly for engineering and operational positions. Build relationships with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and future hiring needs. Coordinate onboarding and induction processes for new starters. Support workforce planning activities in line with business growth. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with operational managers and field-based employees. Maintain a visible presence across company sites, particularly within the Camden operation. Work closely with senior leadership to support business objectives. Promote a positive and practical HR approach that balances employee wellbeing with business requirements.
