Pet Trading Lead - Salary £75,000 to c. £90,000

Leeds, Bristol or Norwich

This is a great job for someone who has a strong General Insurance background (ideally within Personal Lines) and is looking to lead commercial strategy in a growth-focused area. This role would suit a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, who enjoys leading teams, owning P&L performance, and influencing a wide range of senior stakeholders.

A bit about the job:

This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for driving and shaping the trading landscape for our Pet brands, delivering strong customer and commercial outcomes and supporting key business opportunities.

As Pet Trading Lead, you will lead the commercial strategy and be accountable for delivering brand and channel strategies, including proposition development, trading execution, and pricing and underwriting alignment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Pricing, Underwriting, Marketing, Finance and Digital to ensure effective delivery of trading plans.

You will also be responsible for P&L delivery, performance monitoring, and ensuring trading decisions deliver the right outcomes for customers while meeting commercial objectives.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Strong General Insurance experience, preferably within Personal Lines (Pet experience advantageous)
• Proven experience in P&L ownership and delivering commercial outcomes
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate insight into clear trading and commercial strategies
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills across a wide range of audiences
• Ability to monitor performance, use data and insight, and make effective commercial decisions

What you'll get for this role:

• Starting salary between £70,000 and c. £90,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
