About you You re an exhibition designer who understands that a strong concept still needs to be priced, produced and built properly. You can take a client brief from initial idea through to a polished 3D visual, then turn it into accurate technical drawings the production and installation teams can actually use. You ll be comfortable challenging ideas when they won t work within the budget, available stock or venue restrictions, while still finding a creative solution that keeps the client happy. Your experience You ll need: Experience designing exhibition stands, retail environments or branded spaces. Experience using a modular framing system, ideally beMatrix or something comparable. Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills using beCAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar software. A practical understanding of how exhibition stands are manufactured and installed. Knowledge of print materials, graphics, fabrics, rigid substrates and fabrication methods. The ability to produce accurate parts lists and production-ready drawings. Confidence discussing concepts with clients, sales teams, estimators and installers. Strong attention to detail, particularly where an error could affect the budget or cause problems on build day. What you ll be doing You ll produce exhibition stand concepts in response to client briefs, available budgets and sales requirements. Once a concept is approved, you ll develop it into detailed technical drawings, primarily using beCAD, with accurate beMatrix component and parts lists. You ll work closely with the sales and estimating teams to check that the design stays within budget and can be delivered using the available stock. You ll also coordinate with the print and production teams on graphics, panels, materials and finishes, before working with the installation team to plan how the stand will be built on-site. That will include considering build sequences, flooring, rigging, weight loading, fire regulations and any restrictions imposed by the venue. There will also be occasional client meetings and site visits, so you ll need to be comfortable presenting your ideas and asking the right technical questions. About the business You ll be joining an established design, print, production and installation business that manages projects from the original concept through to the finished environment. The team works across exhibitions, events, retail spaces and branded environments, with designers collaborating closely with sales, production and installation rather than working in isolation. This is a full-time role based at the company s Harlow office five days a week. Next steps If you can design something that looks impressive in the pitch but still works when the installation team arrives on-site, this is worth a conversation.
