Discuss quotations and final accounts with clients and Quantity Surveyors (QS), providing additional information where required. Maintain and update customer schedules of rates and pricing information. Prepare and issue final accounts accurately and on time. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value within budget. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures. Requirements Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including English and Mathematics. At least 2 years' experience within shopfitting, construction or a similar industry. Previous experience in an estimating, sales support or customer service role. Experience within a joinery company would be advantageous. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Ability to read and interpret technical and construction drawings. Strong understanding of estimating, costing and pricing processes. Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with experience within joinery, shopfitting, commercial interiors or a closely related sector who enjoys taking ownership of quotations and tenders from initial enquiry through to successful project handover. We would also be interested in speaking with experienced Project Managers from a construction background who have strong estimating, costing and commercial experience and are looking to move into a dedicated estimating position. The Role As Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, drawings and specifications to produce accurate and commercially competitive quotations for bespoke projects.
