Then look no further Assistant Bid Manager Salary - Competitive (plus benefits) Hours - 37.5 hours per week Location - Northampton, NN4 7BF As an Assistant Bid Manager at FCC Environment, you will support the delivery of projects and programmes within the Development pipeline and wider business strategy. You will support a range of bidding activities, from monitoring procurement portals and assessing initial opportunities through to preparing tender submissions and supporting contract handovers. You will work closely with the Senior Bid Manager, the wider bidding team and departments across the business to help produce high-quality, accurate and effective bid submissions. This vacancy is for a full-time position, based at our Northampton office. Our promise to you - Competitive salary - 25 days' annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays - Pension scheme - Life insurance - Discretionary bonus scheme - On-the-job training and progression - Recognition scheme - Refer a friend - Flexible benefits, including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership, and many more (where applicable) - Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing Platform What will you be doing? - Supporting bidding activities for opportunities, including municipal collections, street scene, grounds maintenance, waste treatment and disposal contracts - Monitoring procurement portals and supporting the initial assessment of new opportunities - Taking responsibility for allocated activities and specific elements of bids - Developing and preparing bid responses and contract documentation - Working closely with departments including Operations, Fleet, SHEQ, Technical, Estates and Planning, Legal, Finance and Human Resources - Supporting the production of high-quality, accurate and compliant bid submissions - Contributing to the continuous improvement of bid responses and bidding processes - Managing and monitoring project and programme delivery plans when required - Implementing and maintaining Development procedures and systems - Preparing monthly reports as required - Supporting the handover of successful bids into the relevant operational teams - Following the company's health, safety, quality and environmental procedures What are we looking for? - Educated to A-level standard, or preferably higher - Experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint - Experience of using InDesign would be beneficial - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Good numerical skills and commercial awareness - The ability to work collaboratively and add value to projects and tender submissions - Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities - The ability to respond quickly and positively to changing requirements - A determined, resilient and self-motivated approach - Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and third parties - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work About Us We are FCC Environment, one of the nation's leading waste and resource management companies.
