A rapidly growing business with serious progression opportunities. If you're an organised, proactive problem-solver looking to develop your career in project management, this is an opportunity to work on projects that are genuinely out of the ordinary. We're recruiting an Assistant Project Manager for a specialist Gloucestershire business delivering bespoke asset protection and packaging solutions across the nuclear, infrastructure, aerospace, automotive, energy and industrial sectors . The company is an established Tier 1 supplier into one of Europe's largest nuclear construction programmes, alongside protecting an extraordinary variety of high-value assets. One project could involve critical equipment for a major nuclear development; another could involve a helicopter, luxury vehicle, generator or specialist machinery. The team has even worked on huge fuel tanks the size of two-storey buildings and heritage assets. Very little here is standard - and that's what makes the role exciting. Why join? This is a business going through significant growth. Revenue doubled in 2025 , further major nuclear-sector projects have been secured, the team is expanding and there are plans for European growth . Joining now means becoming part of the business at an exciting stage, with genuine opportunities to take on more responsibility and progress towards a Project Manager role . Despite its growth, the company has retained a close-knit, hands-on culture where people are valued, individual contributions are recognised and good ideas can quickly become reality. The role This is a genuine project role - not simply project administration . Working closely with the Project Manager and Commercial Director, you'll help take projects from initial purchase order through to successful delivery and invoicing. You'll be the person helping to keep everything moving - coordinating customers, suppliers, site teams, documentation, schedules and resources to make sure projects are delivered safely and on time. What are we looking for? You don't need specialist packaging experience - the product can be taught. We're looking for someone who can organise, communicate, think logically and confidently manage multiple priorities. You might currently be an Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Support Officer, Site Administrator or Document Controller , or an ambitious graduate looking to build a project management career. Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, energy, nuclear, infrastructure or an industrial environment would be particularly valuable. Ideally, you'll have: Previous project coordination, support or relevant operational experience Excellent organisation and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and site teams The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines A calm approach under pressure Strong practical problem-solving skills A proactive, "make it happen" attitude Health & Safety awareness or willingness to undertake training Good Microsoft Office skills GCSE Maths and English or equivalent as a minimum A full, clean UK driving licence The package £30,000-£35,000+ depending on experience Permanent role Monday to Friday Specialist nuclear-sector training and site induction Excellent career progression Clear opportunity to develop into a Project Manager Exposure to major UK infrastructure, nuclear and engineering projects A varied role where no two projects are quite the same This is a rare opportunity to join a growing specialist business, gain valuable experience within the nuclear and major-project environment , and build a long-term project management career. If you're ambitious, organised and enjoy being the person who keeps things moving, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today for a confidential conversation. Lead generation & sales alignment - Connected working: Establish a seamless, collaborative partnership between Sales and Marketing, ensuring both departments operate with a unified definition of success. - MQL to SQL framework: Introduce and implement a process for Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and create a structured lead-generation funnel that seamlessly converts web traffic and campaign engagement into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs). - CRM & marketing automation: Oversee the data infrastructure and marketing tech stack, making recommendations where necessary in order to produce and run integrated multi-channel campaigns. 3. Team Leadership, structure and up-skilling - Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and build the confidence of a multi-national marketing team across personnel in UK and Germany, providing clear vision and definitive leadership. - Skill progression: Upskill the existing team (where necessary) to develop a modern, multi-channel mindset, moving away from a traditional "publishing department" approach towards strategic digital execution. - Resource optimisation: Evaluate internal competencies and build a robust model using both internal headcount and external specialists if necessary to maximise efficiencies and calibre of output. 4. Digital innovation, technology & analytics - Advanced Analytics & ROI: Implement web analytics (such as Google Analytics and Hotjar) to monitor trending content, page views, and user behaviour from straight data into actionable marketing initiatives. - Performance accountability: Establish KPIs focused on active engagement (likes, comments, reposts, and click-through rates) from our target audience and existing customers. . - AI adoption: Act as the strategic "guardian" and pioneer for artificial intelligence adoption within the department, utilising AI tools to build our brand agents. 5. Fiscal & budgetary management - Budget ownership and management optimisation: Have ownership of the marketing budget, restructuring it if necessary to ensure funding is balanced between operational/business as usual activity and new initiatives with lead-generating digital campaigns. Have over-all responsibility for making recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team on budget requirements and recommendations for scaling. Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Proven B2B leadership experience: Substantial experience leading a marketing function at a senior level within a technical B2B, engineering, or manufacturing sector (experience within commercial lighting or infrastructure is advantageous). - Commercial growth: Demonstrated experience driving commercial growth and successfully delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns that actively contribute to revenue metrics. - Inspirational leadership: A proven background in managing, mentoring, and energising individuals and teams, with the ability to instil a culture of curiosity and desire to learn. - Analytical rigour: Strong commercial acumen with a need to always 'lift the bonnet' and consider what more can be achieved.
