Refuse Loader Waste Operative

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting Refuse Loaders and Waste Operatives for ongoing work with a local authority in Eckington.

This is a physically demanding outdoor role suited to candidates who enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and working as part of a team delivering essential public services.

The Role:

• Collecting household waste and recycling bins along set routes

• Loading refuse and recycling into collection vehicles

• Working as part of a refuse collection crew

• Supporting street cleansing and environmental services when required

• Manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the shift

• Walking long distances daily in all weather conditions

What We re Looking For:

• Previous experience in labouring, warehouse, waste, recycling, or outdoor work preferred

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

• Reliable with a strong work ethic

• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Safety boots and high-vis required

• Full UK Driving Licence preferred, as you may occasionally be required to work from another depot in Chesterfield

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday

• 6:30am 3:00pm

• £12.71 per hour

• Increasing to £13.05 after 13 weeks service

• Weekly pay

• Ongoing, full-time work
