Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Recycling Operative to join Cytiva in Ilfracombe. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term temporary role with a well-established company operating within the Life Sciences sector.

This role is ideal for someone reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on team environment.

• Carry out daily recycling duties within the onsite recycling centre.
• Segregate rejected products, packaging, WEEE, metals, and other recyclable materials.
• Prepare recycled products for transportation, including packaging and palletising.
• Support safe and efficient recycling processes onsite.
• Operate machinery used for cutting or shredding plastic materials following training.
• Follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
• Support improvements to waste and recycling processes.
• Assist the maintenance and facilities team with additional duties when required.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Interest in recycling, sustainability, or environmental practices beneficial.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and operating machinery safely.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

• 13.20 per hour.
