Kitchen Assistant

Temporary Ongoing Role
12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join a busykitchen and staff restaurant team on a temporary ongoing basis in Dartford.

This role would suit someone who is reliable, hardworking, and able to work well in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.

Duties will include:

• Keeping kitchen, food preparation, and serving areas clean and tidy
• Washing dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning floors, surfaces, and kitchen areas
• Serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks to staff
• Using the till when required
• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Receiving and storing food deliveries correctly
• Carrying out temperature and quality checks on deliveries
• Disposing of waste and recycling appropriately
• Supporting other kitchen team members when required
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous kitchen, catering, or food service experience
• A positive and flexible attitude
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards

Desirable:

• Food Hygiene Certificate
