Are you an experienced Payroller looking for your next opportunity in the Hull area? We re recruiting for a Payroller to join a respected local employer, taking ownership of the weekly payroll process while also supporting with day-to-day HR administration. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and likes being the go-to person for payroll and people-related queries. This vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of the current postholder, giving you the chance to step into a well-established role and make it your own. What the Payroller job will involve In this role, you ll be responsible for processing the weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees, ensuring everything is completed accurately, on time, and in line with current legislation. You ll also provide support with HR administration and help maintain smooth internal processes across the business. Processing weekly payroll for around 100 staff using Sage Payroll, including statutory deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance and pensions Calculating overtime, bonus payments and varying hourly rates Responding to payroll queries in a professional, approachable and confidential manner Supporting with HR administration, including contracts, offer letters and contract amendments Maintaining accurate holiday, sickness and absence records Keeping employee records and documentation up to date Working closely with management to ensure payroll and HR administration processes run smoothly and remain compliant What we re looking for We re keen to hear from candidates who are organised, dependable and confident managing payroll from end to end in a standalone position. Proven experience processing weekly payroll from start to finish Previous experience in a manufacturing or similarly fast-paced environment would be advantageous Working knowledge of Sage Payroll would be ideal, although this is not essential A strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory payments and deductions Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines independently Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner A high level of discretion, confidentiality and integrity when handling employee information Additional information Full-time, Monday to Friday 38.5 hours per week On-site parking available This vacancy is being advertised by KD Recruitment Limited , who are operating as an Employment Agency.
