Job Description

Broster Buchanan are recruiting for a finalist or Fully qualified Financial Accountant to be based in Peterborough, 3 days office/2 days remoteKey Responsibilities:
  • You will be part of the team who report financial submissions for Group and its subsidiaries Specifically,
  • Balance sheet analytical review and processing complex consolidation adjustments
  • You will assist with the consolidation process
  • You will respond to ad hoc reporting queries and tasks as they arise
  • Oversee Technical Accounting including overseas reporting
  • Ensure all intercompany balances submitted agree to global balances and inter company transactions are correctly identified and reported
  • Ownership and management of all audit requests related to International Group reporting deadlines and processes.
  • Implementing mapping for quarterly reporting that minimises manual adjustments required when reconciling to group reporting team
  • You will assist in the preparation of technical and high profile Financial Statements
  • Your role will include helping management to fulfil audit queries and building relationships with our audit team.
  • You will provide updates and advice to the wider Finance Team in conjunction with your manager.
  • You will assist in implementing new accounting standards such as upcoming changes to FRS102
  • You will complete complex reconciliations to assist with our local tax teams reporting requirements such as the return to provision analysis and reconciliations
  • Involvement in legal entity rationisation project to simplify the group structure and remove compliance tasks
  • Completion and ownership of a number of complex monthly reconciliations
Qualification & Skills:
  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Financial statements and consolidations
  • Experience of Sarbanes Oxley Compliance
  • Highly proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to complete assigned tasks in the most efficient way possible.
  • Supervise and assist less experienced members of the team
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
