Assembler

A manufacturing company based in Maldon are looking for Assembly operatives to join their growing team.

The role is paying 12.90ph, working 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

The assembly role is responsible for assembling according to drawings and work instructions. The role involves using hand tools and power tools to perform mechanica, electrical or sturctural assembly tasks.

For this role, you must have worked in an assembly, fabrication or hands on manufacturing role using hand and power tools.

Assembler duties:-

• Assemble parts and subassemblies following detailed work instructions
• Operate hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools i.g. drills, screwdrivers, riveters, torque wrenches
• Measure, cut and fit and secure components to meet precise tolerances and specifications
• Maintain clean work space
• perform mechnaical fastening, drilling, grinding and fitting operations

Skills and experience needed for this Assembler role:-

• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or fabrication
• Skilled in the safe use of power tools and hand tools
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and workplace safety
• Ability to work independently or as a part of a team to meet production targets

This is a temporary role which can lead to a permanent role if all goes well.
