As a Caseworker/Decision Maker, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding vulnerable people by making informed, evidence-based decisions that directly affect who can work in positions of trust. Managing your own caseload from start to finish, you will analyse complex and often sensitive information, apply legislation and policy, and produce clear, well-reasoned decisions that are fair, balanced and defensible. This is a role that offers genuine responsibility from the outset, where your judgement and integrity are central to the outcome of every case.
This is more than casework. It is an opportunity to contribute to a system that protects individuals and upholds public confidence across sectors such as healthcare, education and social care. The impact of your decisions is tangible and far-reaching, helping organisations make safer recruitment choices and preventing potential harm before it occurs. Alongside this, you will benefit from a comprehensive training programme, ongoing professional development and the opportunity to build highly transferable skills in analysis, decision-making and written communication.
About you:
We are seeking individuals who are motivated by purposeful work and take pride in making fair, well-judged decisions. You will be comfortable navigating complex information, able to balance competing considerations, and confident in setting out your reasoning clearly and professionally. With strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload, you will maintain quality and consistency while working at pace. You will also demonstrate resilience, openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement, enabling you to grow and succeed in a role that is both challenging and rewarding.
