We are delighted to announce that we have exciting opportunities for Production Operatives to join our team in Lenwade on a permanent basis. We are looking for Production Operatives on both of our production shifts; Monday to Friday, 6.00am - 2.15pm Monday to Friday, 2.00pm - 10.15pm You will also have the opportunity to earn weekly bonuses, provided targets are consistently achieved. From the outset, there is a clear path for career progression. Our structured tiered pay system allows you to increase your salary, which can realistically be achieved within 3-6 months as you complete your training. You will be reporting to the Production Shift Manager and working as part of a busy team; you will manufacture uPVC window and door products. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements. Specific experience of window fabrication is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided - the key to success is a positive 'can do' attitude. Experience and ability with hand held power tools is highly advantageous. Manual handling experience of heavy loads is required as there will be some lifting. A proactive approach to tasks and the ability to work effectively in a busy, target driven environment. The successful candidate must possess a reasonable level of numeracy and literacy as well as good communication skills, with the ability to follow written & verbal instructions. ASAP start date The Company you will be working for ; MTrec Recruitment are currently supporting our industry leading manufacturing client on their search for a permanent Production Operative to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. If you feel you have the skills and experience required, then please apply for an immediate response The Role you will be doing; Set-up and operate SMT assembly lines (to include solder paste, SMT placement, reflow & inspection equipment). Pick, kit materials to SMT machine feeders (iPulse pick & place machines), de-kitting at end builds. Monitor machine spit-out and report variances (engage Production Engineering as required). Online component identification / verification when reels are changed over. Physical count and reconciliation of materials in support of stock checks and kitting activity. Support first-off build / inspection at the start-up of each new build. Ensure adherence to TPM procedures. Ensure the highest standard of housekeeping and adherence to Health and Safety requirements. Ensure SMT build, inspection, routing records & activities are accurate / maintained and up to date. Ensure efficient and controlled transition of Quality assured products to hand assembly. Maintain compliance with PCBA / product build and test processes (incl. IPC-A-610 Class 3; J-STD-001 and all relevant site Certifications). Must be available to work 2 shift patterns; Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 12am. About You; Good, all-round education. Experience of kitting to Surface Mount 'pick and place' machines is desirable. Numerate and able to read technical drawings / work instructions / process instructions and routings. Competent in use of MRP and ERP systems. Clear understanding of modern electronic circuit boards and system assembly techniques. Flexible and able to work to timescales within a busy manufacturing environment Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of an integrated team. Excellent communication skills across all levels (written & oral). Flexibility to work shifts (including night shift) as required is a prerequisite of this role
