The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Director, Pharmacovigilance (LPVM) UK/IRL & UK QPPV to lead and oversee Ipsen's Pharmacovigilance operations across the UK & Ireland. This pivotal role combines senior leadership responsibility with legal QPPV accountability, ensuring the safety of patients and the compliance, robustness, and continuous improvement of our local PV system.You will serve as Ipsen's senior PV authority in the UK, acting as the primary point of contact for the MHRA, and will be instrumental in shaping safety governance, PV strategy, and inspection readiness across the affiliate. Key ResponsibilitiesIn this critical role, you will: Serve as the 24/7 MHRA point of contact for all PV matters, ensuring business continuity and compliant back up arrangements. Provide end to end leadership of the UK PV system, ensuring adherence to UK legislation, GVP requirements, Human Medicines Regulations, and Ipsen SOPs. Maintain full oversight and quality assurance of the UK PSMF, PV processes, and local safety activities. Lead and mentor the UK/IE PV team, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement. Oversee external PV service providers to ensure compliant case handling, data integrity, and inspection readiness. Provide strategic PV expertise during product launches, MA transfers, audits, and inspections. Collaborate cross functionally with Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Quality, and Global Patient Safety teams to ensure an aligned and effective PV system. Represent Ipsen at regulatory interactions and industry forums (e.g. ABPI, IPHA, MHRA, HPRA). What We're Looking ForWe're looking for an experienced and inspiring leader with: Extensive PV experience at senior leadership level. In depth expertise in UK/EU PV regulations, GVP, ICH and CIOMS. Proven experience driving PV system oversight, process optimisation, and compliance. A strong track record in regulatory inspections and CAPA management. Exceptional communication, cross functional leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills. A degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or Life Sciences (essential). Previous QPPV or Deputy QPPV experience (advantageous).
