Cannock Chase District Council and Stafford Borough Council's shared Finance Service is seeking a Finance Business Partner to enable the provision of financial support to budget managers. This exciting opportunity offers the successful applicant a chance to be part of an innovative shared Finance Service working across two neighbouring Local Authorities.

This role gives the opportunity to support the business by providing good quality financial information and support to budget managers. Operating within a District Council gives the opportunity to be involved in all areas from budget setting and monitoring to the statement of accounts production. A knowledge and understanding of Local Authority accounting would be advantageous.

AAT qualified or equivalent; you will have previous experience of budget setting, budget monitoring, and closure of accounts along with the ability to provide professionally sound financial information both verbally and in writing to Officers and Members of the Council.
