Job Description
An automotive component manufacturer based in Witham are looking for a CNC Machinist who would be keen on programming, setting and operating a 6 axis Robot.
The hourly rate is up to 20.40ph and the hours are 1.30pm to 12 midnight Monday to Friday.
Robot Cell Setter / Operator duties:-
- Responsible for operating and setting of the robot cell
- Programming and proving out new components on a 6 axis KUKA KRC2 Robot cell from master panels
- Work with a variety of metals including aluminium, carbon fibre, and epoxy tool boards
- Working closely with the rest of the machine shop to deliver on time
- Responsble for setting and operating 3 axis verticle machine centre
- Setting and operating 5-axis universal machining centres
- Deburring and manually finishing parts
- Responsible for the cutting and preparing of materials
The right person for the role with have a good understanding of the following:-
- Haas and fanuc controls
- Good understanding of machining and programming techniques
- Have a strong engineering background
- Keen eye on detail
- Be flexible with the work you are doing across the machine shop
This is a temporary to permanent role, working for a company with a full order book until the early 2030's, so it's an exciting time to join them.
