An established international accountancy practice in Farringdon, London is looking to appoint an Accounts Senior as part of the continued growth of its Accounts and Advisory team.

This Accounts Senior opportunity offers responsibility for a portfolio of clients alongside strong progression within a well-structured and supportive practice environment. The firm is part of an international network and affiliated with a Top 50 UK accountancy practice.

The Accounts Senior Role

The Accounts Senior will manage a varied client portfolio including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, partnerships and international groups.

Working closely with the Partners and senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for delivering statutory accounts, management reporting and client advisory support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
• Preparation of management accounts and financial reporting packs
• Supporting corporate tax compliance and liaising with the tax team
• Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT work prepared by junior staff or offshore teams
• Supervising and supporting junior team members
• Acting as a key contact for client queries and ongoing advisory support

About You

You will have developed your experience within a UK accountancy practice environment and be comfortable managing client relationships and statutory accounts assignments.

Suitable candidates will typically have:

• Experience working within an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation
• Experience managing client relationships or a client portfolio
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or late-stage part-qualified
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• The right to work in the UK
