IT Infrastructure Engineer - Hybrid Cloud

Location: Abingdon (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 remote)

Our client is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their Computing Division. You will deliver secure, resilient and high-performing hybrid cloud solutions while working with architects, engineers and project teams.

• Design, implement and maintain IT infrastructure including Windows Server, Hyper V, Active Directory and networking.
• Develop hybrid solutions integrating on premises systems with Microsoft Azure.
• Use infrastructure as code tools such as PowerShell and Terraform and automation tools such as Ansible.
• Monitor and optimise system performance, availability and resilience and manage backups and disaster recovery.
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001 and CAF.
• Produce documentation, runbooks and training materials and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Work closely with stakeholders to deliver reliable and innovative IT services.

• Experience in IT infrastructure engineering, hybrid cloud and Azure environments.
• Hands on expertise with virtualisation, networking and Windows Server administration.
• Strong knowledge of security, compliance and operational best practice.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation frameworks.
• SC clearance and ability to work on site in Abingdon.
