Accounts Manager - East London / Essex - Up to £65,000

My client is a Top 100 independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in East London - and they're looking for an Accounts Manager to join their accounts department.
This is a genuinely flexible hire. Whether you're a natural people manager who enjoys developing junior staff, or a technically strong client-focused manager who prefers to work closely with a portfolio without direct reports, both profiles are of interest here.
The Accounts Manager Role:
As an Accounts Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio worth circa £300k - £500,000, working across a diverse range of clients from startups through to multi-nationals with turnover up to £40M. The client base spans a wide variety of sectors and entity types, including owner-managed businesses, solicitors, GP and dental practices, charities, academies and group structures.
This role sits within the Business Services Group - there is no tax responsibility, with a dedicated tax department handling that work separately.
Day-to-day, the Accounts Manager will work across statutory accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, group consolidations, SRA audits and sole trader accounts, applying frameworks including FRS 102, FRS 102 1A, FRS 105, IFRS and SORP. You'll use CaseWare for accounts preparation.
