Job Title: Lead Manufacturing Technician (Injection Moulding) Location: Biopure - Havant (On-Site) Company Website: Group: Job Summary We are seeking a talented and motivated Lead Manufacturing Technician (Injection Moulding) to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities As Lead Technician your primary focus will be to support the efficient use and maximised output of manufacturing within BioPure. You will ensure that you and your team are procedurally compliant, whilst adhering to our high health and safety standards. You will oversee and manage the repair and servicing of all production mould tooling with our external toolmakers, as well as identifying areas for continuous improvement across manufacturing including but not limited to SMED, cycle time and scrap reduction projects. You will need to accurately maintain documentation to ensure full product traceability to our customers and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will hold overall responsibility for your team of technicians, ensuring they work in a safe and supportive environment. You will collaborate with and continually support the manufacturing team to ensure production plans and business needs are met. You will troubleshoot machinery and tooling defects, produce detailed tooling reports, and work directly with toolmakers to resolve issues on all validated production tooling. You will manage the daily workload of your team by effectively prioritising tasks to meet operational goals. You will oversee mould tool changes, set ups, and production approvals, ensuring these are completed safely and efficiently. You will drive continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating waste throughout the manufacturing process. You will work with the HR team to address and investigate any concerns related to disciplinary actions, performance management, or sickness absence within your team. You will maintain all relevant documentation to ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 14644 cleanroom requirements, BS EN ISO 9001, and cGMP standards. You will liaise with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Quality Control teams to maintain an efficient manufacturing flow. You will support engineering in the process development of new tooling projects. Skills/Experience You will have significant technical experience in injection moulding and mould tool setting, ideally in a Medical or Pharmaceutical environment. You will have experience leading and managing a team effectively. You will need hands on experience setting up new processes for both cold runner and hot runner tools. You will need a strong understanding of BS EN ISO 9001 and cGMP standards to ensure compliance in manufacturing. You will need knowledge of BS EN ISO 14644 cleanroom requirements to maintain sterile workspaces. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate and document processes effectively. You will need a solid understanding of IQ/OQ/PQ validation processes within a regulated pharmaceutical setting. You will have experience working within Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) frameworks. You will have knowledge of manufacturing to BS EN ISO 9001 standards, which is highly desirable.
