Warehouse Operative/Driver
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run business in Northallerton seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative/Driver to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role within a supportive and friendly working environment.
As the successful candidate, you will support the day-to-day running of the stores and warehouse function, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately. The role requires a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving components and materials from suppliers and customers
Checking goods-in documentation and verifying deliveries before acceptance into stock
Picking and packing orders for dispatch
Loading and unloading wagons using a company forklift
Maintaining organised and efficient stock locations
Supporting regular stock checks to ensure stock accuracy
Coordinating the dispatch of finished goods
Manual handling, including lifting and carrying heavy items
Adhering to all health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
Previous warehouse experience
Stock control experience
Valid forklift licence
Excellent time management and organisational skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills
Proactive, flexible, and hardworking attitude
Ability to work independently when required and contribute positively within a team
Additional Information
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (40 hours per week)
