Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £38,500 DOE + Benefits

Experience: 1-2 Years Minimum (Industry Essential)

The Role:

Are you a Freight Forwarder who loves the satisfaction of seeing a shipment through from the initial booking to the final mile? We are looking for an Import Specialist to join our team in Trafford Park.

Unlike "cog-in-the-machine" roles, you will have full autonomy over your shipments. We need someone who can handle the technicalities of Ocean Imports with precision and pace.

What You'll Be Doing

• A-Z Shipment Management: Handling Ocean Import deep-sea movements from point of origin to UK delivery.
• Customs & Compliance: Managing entries, checking documentation (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices), and ensuring HMRC compliance.
• Client Management: Acting as the dedicated point of contact for your accounts-providing quotes, updates, and solutions.
• Financial Control: Managing file billing, cost accruals, and ensuring healthy margins.

What You Need

• Experience: At least 1-2 years of current/recent experience in an Ocean Freight Forwarding environment.
• Knowledge: You must understand Incoterms, customs procedures, and the end-to-end import lifecycle.
• Drive: A "start-to-finish" mindset. You take pride in ownership and don't leave tasks half-finished.
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CargoWise, Datafreight, or similar Transport Management Systems.
