Reporting to the Small Works Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to assist in delivering a wide range of local authority works for Kier on behalf of West Northamptonshire Council. We'd like to hear from you if you have a proven track record in supervising all aspects of onsite maintenance and improvement schemes. Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire - site based 5 days per week Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. Expert Reporting: Preparing detailed noise impact assessments and technical reports for planning applications and building regulations (Approved Document E). Design Collaboration: Working closely with architects and engineers to provide acoustic design solutions that balance aesthetics with functionality. Client Advocacy: Attending site meetings and acting as the technical point of contact for developers and local authorities. As the Acoustics Consultant, you will have/be: Qualified Expert: You hold a degree in Acoustics, Physics, or a related Engineering discipline, and ideally, you are a member of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA). Analytical Mindset: You enjoy "the weeds" of data but can translate complex findings into clear, actionable advice for clients. Communication Skills: You are comfortable presenting your findings and can hold your own in a professional project meeting. Reliable & Proactive: You take pride in delivering high-quality work on time and enjoy the autonomy of managing your own project load.
