SEN Teacher Needed - Specialist Autism School in Maidenhead
Specialist SEN School Ages 4-16 Autism (ASC)
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable SEN Teacher to join a highly specialised school in Maidenhead, supporting children aged 4-16 with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about autism education and committed to helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a strong interest in SEN and autism are warmly encouraged to apply.
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver highly personalised, autism-informed learning tailored to each pupil's individual needs, communication style, and EHCP outcomes.
Classes are small, with strong adult support, allowing you to focus on meaningful progress, communication, emotional regulation, and independence.
The school follows a specialist, low-arousal approach, with an emphasis on consistency, routine, and understanding behaviour as communication. You will typically work within a defined key stage (primary or secondary), rather than across a wide age range.
