Transport Clerk (Nights, 4 on 4 off) £13.09 per hour
Shift: 18:00 - 06:00
We are now looking for a
Transport Clerk to assist with transport planning and day-to-day operational support.
This role could be temp-to-perm depending on the candidate.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Supporting day-to-day transport operations, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Maintaining and updating transport documentation, including driver briefs/debriefs, delivery notes, and system entries
- Communicating with drivers, planners, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure smooth coordination of activities
- Monitoring fleet compliance, including defects, tachograph downloads, and vehicle checks
- Assisting with reporting, KPI updates, and internal audits
- Responding to operational issues or queries, escalating where required
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Have previous experience in a transport, logistics, or administration role (desirable but not essential)
- Have strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Are confident using IT systems (e.g. MS Office, transport systems, telematics platforms)
- Have good communication skills and can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
