This opportunity is suited to an ambitious Junior Electrical Design Engineer looking to develop their technical expertise within a well established, design-led building services consultancy. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of project types and the chance to grow within a supportive, experienced team.

Based in North West London, the successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across multiple sectors.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join an experienced electrical design team, working closely with mechanical engineers and senior electrical engineers to support the delivery of coordinated building services designs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years' UK consultancy experience who is confident working in 2D CAD and keen to transition further into a Revit-based BIM environment.
You will contribute to projects from concept through to completion, supporting design development, documentation and site activities while building your professional knowledge and working towards further accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishing and developing electrical engineering design solutions and systems
• Preparing plans, specifications and schedules for electrical works
• Producing technical reports supporting design concepts, ensuring compliance with British Standards and best practice
• Liaising with other members of the design team to ensure coordinated delivery
• Inspecting installations and reviewing progress, quality and performance testing
• Supporting the design team and clients in relation to operation and ongoing maintenance considerations
• Assisting in the incorporation of current technologies and industry standards into live projects
• Demonstrating continued professional development and progression towards chartered status

What They're Looking For:

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a UK building services consultancy
• HNC / ONC / BTEC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
• Experience producing electrical design drawings and specifications across a range of building types
• Competent in 2D CAD, with a desire to further develop within a Revit environment
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Understanding of British Standards and UK industry requirements
• Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a design team
• Must live within a commutable distance of the North West London office
