A growing and dynamic freight forwarding business based near Heathrow is seeking an experienced Import Operator to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with air and/or ocean import experience who is looking to develop their career and progress into a leadership role over time.

You will be responsible for managing import shipments from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and efficient process while maintaining high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling air and/or ocean import shipments from arrival through to final delivery
• Completing customs entries and liaising with relevant authorities
• Coordinating with overseas agents, airlines, and shipping lines
• Arranging deliveries and working closely with transport providers
• Providing excellent customer service and regular shipment updates
• Ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant

• Previous experience in air or ocean import operations (freight forwarding essential)
• Knowledge of customs procedures and import documentation
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments
• A proactive attitude with a desire to grow into a senior/lead role
