Job Description

TailorEDucation is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to work five days per week in a school based in the Maidstone area. This is a planning and marking role on a supply basis, ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality Science lessons and driving pupil progress.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Science lessons, assessing and marking pupils work, and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high quality Science lessons

  • Marking and assessing student work in line with school policies

  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively

  • Supporting pupils academic progress and wellbeing

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and leadership

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Essential

  • Proven experience teaching Science within a UK school

  • Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding

  • Experience with full teaching responsibilities including planning and marking

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A genuine passion for Science and education

  • The flexibility and professionalism to thrive in a school environment
