The role offers strong client contact, business development opportunities, and exposure to a broad mix of commercial property matters including sales, purchases, leases, lending, and development work.Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Property Solicitor: • Developing a client portfolio through marketing, social media, networking and internal cross referrals • Handling a broad range of commercial property matters including sales, purchases, leases and lease extensions • Advising on securitisation / lending matters • Dealing with lease assignments, surrenders and alterations • Handling deeds of easement • Advising on option agreements, conditional contracts and Section 106 agreements where applicable • Supporting on land acquisitions, development projects and plot sales • Providing advice in writing, over the phone and in meetings • Undertaking searches and Land Registry submissions • Dealing with new enquiries and building client relationships • Managing risk, compliance, client expectations and file progression • Supporting junior team members • Participating in CPD, webinars, podcasts, marketing initiatives, networking and charity eventsRequirements of the Commercial Property Solicitor: • Ideally 7-10 years' PQE within a Commercial Property team • Strong experience in commercial property sales, purchases, leases and lease extensions • Experience in securitisation / lending and lease assignments, surrenders and alterations • Used to working in a team environment • Experience of land acquisitions, development work and development funding advantageous • High standards of work and attention to detail • Knowledge of Lexcel requirements • Strong written and verbal communication skills • IT literate including case management systems, Word, Outlook and Excel • Self-motivated and able to meet targets • Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively • Strong organisational, file management and time management skillsThe Benefits for the Commercial Property Solicitor role: • Competitive salary and bonus package• Regular contact with Partners • Staff introduction bonus • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays • Auto enrolment salary sacrifice pension scheme • Health Cash Plan including access to Perkbox• Death in Service insurance • Enhanced sick pay • Free eye tests and paid flu vaccinations• And more If you are a Commercial Property Solicitor looking to join an approachable and ambitious team, apply today.
