Job Description
General Operative
Immediately required
Working in a foundry, physical work
12.50 per hour to 14.00 per hour - weekly pay
Overtime available after 38 hours in certain roles in the foundry at 16.84 per hour
Ongoing regular work - with a genuine opportunity for permanent employment - training is provided
Hours of work:
Choose to work (Days):
Monday to Thursday: 5.30am to 5.30pm or 6am to 6pm - (46 hours per week) - overtime will be apply in certain areas in the factory depending where you work after 38 hours
or Rotating Nights and Days
Monday to Thursday: 5:30pm to 5:30am and then 5:30am to 5:30pm (could also be a Tuesday to Friday shift)
Based in North East Derbyshire, Dronfield area
Duties of a General Operative
- Working in a foundry environment
- Machine Operating
- Knocking off castings
- Pouring molten metal
- Grinding / angle grinding - using power tools
- Quality Inspection
- Using overhead cranes and PPT trucks
- All training will be provided
- Heavy, physical work
Experience of a General Operative
- Ideally worked in a foundry / factory environment / machine operating role before
- Machine Operating
- Power tools
- Hand tools
- Worked in manufacturing and production environment
Detail of a General Operative
- 12.50 per hour to 14.00 per hour - weekly pay - Overtime available
