Job Description

We're looking for a proactive Event Executive to help deliver exceptional conferences, meetings and events at Friends House. You'll play a key role in ensuring a seamless client experience from planning through to delivery, coordinating with internal teams and acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event process.

Working closely with the Events Manager and the wider Commercial Team, you'll ensure every event runs smoothly while supporting the venue's reputation for excellent service, hospitality and values-led operations.

What you'll do:

  • Act as the primary contact for clients once events are confirmed, ensuring all details are planned and delivered successfully
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Facilities, Catering and AV) to ensure client requirements are met
  • Prepare and maintain clear event documentation, including function sheets and setup details
  • Provide on-site client support during events to ensure excellent customer service
  • Work towards departmental financial targets and identify opportunities to up-sell services during planning
  • Gather post-event feedback to support service improvement and client satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate event data in venue booking systems and assist with reporting
  • Build strong relationships with repeat clients and identify opportunities for future business
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Commercial Team to maintain high service standards
  • Support the wider team during quieter periods with other operational duties if required

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in event coordination, conferencing or hospitality environments
  • Experience working directly with clients and coordinating internal teams
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving ability
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and venue booking systems
  • Awareness of hospitality service standards and event operations
  • Sympathetic to Quaker values and ethos (you do not need to be a Quaker)

Hours: Typically, 35 hours per week (5 days per week), including occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends depending on event schedules. Time off in lieu will be provided for agreed overtime.

Location: Friends House, Euston Road, London, NW1 2BJ.

Salary: £37,323 per annum (inc. London Weighting).
