Main Purpose of Job:
Provide high quality flexible childcare for families from the local communities. Support the practitioners and colleague in a smooth running of the group to the highest standards. This role is focused on the 2-4 year old room.
Responsible for:
Early Years Practitioners, Early Years Apprentices. Works alongside with Early Years Lead and SENCO
Reports to:
Nursery Manager, Director
Main Responsibilities:
- Lunch cover
- Job rota for daily tasks
- Arrange home visits with management
- Early Years Clusters if needed
- Support supervisions termly with management
- Support with staff meetings/ weekly morning meeting
- Identify training needs/ conduct training if possible
- Focus sheets review weekly
- Check/ enhance / maintain learning environment. Champion system
- Check with staff for provocations if necessary/ appropriate
- Accommodate school transitions with Early Years lead
- Peer observations
- Buddy board checks
- Transitions
- Planning in the moment Officer of the room
- Makaton officer with SENCO
- Key worker /children allocations with management
- Room moves famly termly with management
- Check accident forms
- Enter medication forms
