Strategic and tactical (hands-on) sourcing and managing suppliers across technology infrastructure categories. The role involves close collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency, performance, and resilience across datacenter and network services.
This role requires dynamic individuals who are keen to come into the London office 4 days per week.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluation, commercial modelling, and contract award
- Define and execute sourcing strategies across datacenter and telecom categories such as colocation, hosting, and network connectivity
- Negotiate commercial agreements covering pricing, SLAs, and service terms
- Manage relationships with suppliers including colocation providers, telecom carriers, and network service providers
- Oversee contract lifecycle management including renewals, benchmarking, and renegotiation
- Source and manage network services including WAN, LAN, fibre, and inter-datacentre connectivity
- Align supplier solutions with infrastructure requirements including performance, resilience, and scalability
- Support datacenter initiatives including expansion, migration, and consolidation
- Evaluate suppliers based on capacity, connectivity, geographic coverage, and scalability
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and SLAs
- Ensure procurement activities align with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Support third-party risk assessments including operational resilience and data protection
- Drive process improvement and standardisation across procurement activities
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience in procurement across datacenter and telecom categories - ESSENTIAL
- Understanding of telecom services such as MPLS, WAN, fibre, and IP transit, and datacenter environments including colocation, power, and cooling
- Proven experience negotiating complex contracts and managing vendor relationships
- Ability to work with technical stakeholders and understand infrastructure requirements
- Experience operating in multi-region or global environments
