Job Description
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join a specialists engineering manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- TIG Welding on aluminium
- Fabrication reading from advanced engineering drawings
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to prepare materials for welding.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience TIG welding ideally 3 plus years
- Previous experience working on pressure vessels is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all work performed.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The Package
- 12 week temporary to permanent contract
- 16 - 17.50 per hour depending on experience
- Working days 7:30am till 16;30pm
