Key Responsibilities Furnace/Melting Technician Operate niche specialised furnaces within the site Melt materials such as nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, or stainless steels in compliance with process specifications. Follow melting curves, target temperatures, alloy additions, and hold times precisely. Conduct alloy sampling and support chemical analysis processes. Pour molten metal into moulds safely and accurately. Furnace Preparation & Setup Prepare crucibles, furnace linings, charge materials, and tools to exact quality standards. Calibrate and check equipment prior to melting cycles. Verify material batches, heat numbers, and documentation before starting operations. Quality & Compliance Maintain full traceability of materials, melts, and process parameters. Record furnace data, temperatures, times, and deviations accurately.
