Timber Yard Operative - Temporary to Permanent

Location: Wythall, B47

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Between 7:30am - 5:00pm

Benefits: On-site parking

Are you reliable, motivated, and looking for a hands-on role within a busy builders' merchant yard? We're looking for a Timber Yard Operative to join our team and support the smooth running of our yard operations.

About the Role

As a Timber Yard Operative, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy yard. Your responsibilities will include:

• • Managing and controlling all stock movement in and out of the branch

• • Collating customer orders accurately

• • Loading and unloading company and supplier vehicles

• • Supporting stock control to ensure product availability and quality

• • Upholding high standards of Health & Safety, manual handling, and yard security

• • Providing excellent customer service

What We're Looking For

• • High level of self-motivation

• • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

• • Strong communication skills

• • Good physical fitness

• • Ability to work to deadlines

• • Reliability, good timekeeping, and strong attendance

• • Forklift licence/experience required

• • Experience with building materials or in a similar role is desirable
