Sports Coach

Pay Rate: £95 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education's London Branch is currently seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Sports Coach who can also support in a Teaching Assistant capacity to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Southwark. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong sports coaching experience who is also confident supporting pupils in the classroom, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is not a full-time sports position; the school requires a Sports Coach who is happy to take on general and SEND TA duties when not leading physical activities.

As a Sports Coach with TA responsibilities, you will lead and assist with sports sessions that promote physical development, teamwork, and engagement. Outside of sporting activities, you will support pupils in the classroom, including offering 1:1 and small-group support for learners with SEND.

• Deliver engaging sports sessions and structured physical activities
• Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis when required
• Assist teachers in the classroom with general TA duties
• Help to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) where appropriate
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and support teams

• Proven experience as a Sports Coach (school, club, or community setting)
• Experience supporting children with SEND is highly desirable
• Confidence delivering sports sessions and supporting learning in class
• Ability to adapt from active coaching to TA responsibilities when required
• A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Must be available full-time
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Competitive daily pay (£95-£105), depending on experience
