We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Desford team in the position of Maintenance Engineer L2.

The Successful candidate will be part of the site maintenance team, active in both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities. As a mechanical specialist maintenance engineer, you are responsible for rectifying all mechanical malfunctions / breakdowns in a safe manner, to ensure the continuity and productivity of the plant. The role will require 100% commitment to a zero tolerance safety and continuous improvement culture.

About You

The job requires formal education or qualification; the role does require proof of a level of attainment in a mechanical maintenance field.

Minimum Requirements for Maintenance Engineer (L2) Mechanically Biased

ONC Level 3 diploma in relevant field of engineering but HNC in Engineering preferred. In addition to recognised formal qualifications in:

• Hydraulics - BFPA (British Fluid Power Association) Level 1 or equivalent
• Pneumatics - BFPA (British Fluid Power Association) Level 1 or equivalent
• Industrial Gas Pipework Maintenance Course (IPW) I Gas Level 1

This is in addition to being competent to weld (Metal Inert Gas welding & Manual Metal Arc welding) and carry out basic fabrication work.

Minimum Requirements for Maintenance Engineer (L2) Electrically Biased

ONC Level 3 diploma in relevant field of engineering but HNC in Engineering preferred. In addition to recognised formal qualifications in:

• Siemens S7 PLC training - Minimum level: Service 1
• Fanuc Robot Training - Minimum level: Teach Pendant Operator

This is in addition to being competent to run Setter & De hacker machines, along with basic kiln & dryer movementation and monitoring functions.
