Portfolio Manager - Bridging Finance

Location: Farringdon, London (Office Based 5 Days Per Week)

We are working with an established and well-funded specialist lender seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager - Bridging Finance to join their London office in Farringdon.

As a Portfolio Manager - Bridging Finance, you will take ownership of a live loan book post-completion, ensuring strong portfolio performance, proactive risk management and excellent borrower outcomes.

You will be responsible for managing bridging loans from completion through to redemption, monitoring exposure and mitigating risk across the portfolio.

• Managing a portfolio of bridging finance loans post-completion
• Monitoring loan performance and borrower conduct
• Reviewing extension requests and redemption strategies
• Managing arrears, default cases and enforcement actions where required
• Conducting ongoing risk assessments and exposure reviews
• Liaising with borrowers, brokers, solicitors and valuers
• Preparing internal portfolio reports and management information
• Identifying early warning signs and escalating high-risk cases
• Supporting recoveries and workout strategies where necessary
• Ensuring compliance with internal credit policy and regulatory standards

This is a hands-on loan book management role requiring commercial awareness and strong risk assessment skills.

To be considered for this Portfolio Manager - Bridging Finance role, you should have:

• Experience managing bridging loans post-completion
• Strong understanding of short-term lending and loan structures
• Experience handling extensions, redemptions and arrears
• Ability to manage risk within a fast-paced lending environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Experience within specialist property lending, short-term finance or development finance would be advantageous.
