Job Description

Berkshire Hybrid Working

We're working with a well-established Chartered Surveying firm based in Berkshire, founded over 100 years ago, with an exceptional reputation and one of the lowest staff turnover rates in the region.

The Role

This is a busy, varied valuation role within a highly respected chartered practice. You'll be responsible for delivering commercial valuations for a wide range of clients, with a strong focus on work originating from high-street banks and challenger banks.

Typical instructions will include:

  • Loan security valuations for banks and financial institutions
  • Commercial and mixed-use assets
  • Investment, development and owner-occupied property
  • Supporting lenders with clear, compliant and commercially sound valuation advice

As a valuer within a chartered firm, you'll play a key role in risk assessment, lending decisions and credit processes, producing reports that meet RICS Red Book standards and supporting informed financial decision-making.

About You

  • MRICS / ARICS / FRICS qualified (minimum 2 years post-qualification for a senior vacancy)
  • Part qualified for a more junior vacancy
  • Background in commercial valuation (not residential-only)
  • Experience within the private sector
  • Comfortable managing a busy workload and rolling your sleeves up
  • A practical, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
  • Confident dealing with banks, solicitors and professional clients

Existing relationships with lenders or developers aren't essential, but if you have them, they'll be welcomed .

Why Join?

  • Join a stable, long-established firm with an outstanding reputation
  • Genuine long-term career opportunity replacing a retiring senior professional
  • Hybrid working with a strong head-office base
  • Supportive culture, low staff turnover, and no revolving-door environment
  • Opportunity to increase earnings through additional fee-generating relationships
