Freelance Creative Enabler

Location: Nottingham with various projects across the UK.

Salary: Between £125.00 - £150.00 per day, depending on the type of work and responsibility. Travel expenses are offered in addition, based on second-class rail fare.

Anjali Dance Company is seeking a freelance Creative Enabler.

You will work closely with Anjali's dancers, delivery team and staff to ensure the dancers can achieve their best work while maintaining good physical and mental health. You will support a safe and inclusive environment, working in a way that enables dancers to retain autonomy and independence.

You may be required for residential training sessions held in Nottingham and/or for specific projects across the UK. Work will be offered as required, with dates agreed in advance by mutual agreement.

• Assisting the Main Company dancers to develop their artistry, maximising their learning, engagement, and development in training and delivery settings
• Providing support for the development and delivery of performance and engagement work
• Offering pastoral and practical support, responding to questions, ideas, and concerns as they arise
• Helping to structure delivery days including support with meal and break times
• Supporting travel to include travelling with dancers to/from venues, bookings taxis, planning journeys and engaging with train passenger assistance
• Participating in evaluation and feedback processes, offering input to support organisational learning.

• Aware of best safeguarding practice.

It will be helpful if you have some experience or an understanding of access, learning disabilities and professional dance environments.

We also recognise that Anjali's offer is relatively specialised within the sector, and encourage interest from those who identify with the description above, but may not yet have direct experience.

Up to 3 individuals will be offered a freelance contract, with work offered as required.

We pay between £125.00 - £150.00 per day, depending on the type of work and responsibility. Travel expenses are offered in addition, based on second-class rail fare.

Our main company training takes place on Monday and Tuesday daytimes. Other project work varies based on bookings and scheduling.

You will be required to have an enhanced DBS check to fulfil this work due to being with vulnerable children and adults.

Those undertaking the work will be responsible for paying their own NI and tax.
