Working from a home base you will be the technical lead on the more complex domestic and commercial subsidence claims, providing expert guidance to colleagues and clients.
- Managing complex subsidence investigations from first visit to final resolution
- Visiting damaged properties to assess structural, technical and insurance related issues
- Designing and overseeing stabilisation schemes and repair strategies
- Producing high quality technical reports, specifications and tender documents
- Interpreting geotechnical investigations and advising on foundation solutions
- Administering building contracts, valuations and variations
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Planning, CDM and Party Wall legislation
- Working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and local authorities
About you:
Our client is seeking someone with the technical depth and confidence to handle highly complex subsidence cases.
You will ideally have:
- MRICS or MCIOB or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong experience in subsidence investigation and building pathology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work independently
- A flexible mindset and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of buildings insurance, contract administration and construction law
- UK driving licence
