The role will involve underwriting both new and renewal business, maintaining strong broker relationships, and ensuring the portfolio remains profitable and well managed.The position offers strong exposure to London Market aviation risks, providing opportunities to develop technical expertise while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite new and renewal aviation risks across Airline, General Aviation and Aerospace sectorsDevelop and maintain strong broker relationships within the London MarketAssess risk exposures, pricing structures and coverage requirementsManage and monitor a portfolio of aviation accounts to ensure profitability and growthReview and analyse underwriting data, claims trends and market developmentsWork closely with internal teams including claims, actuarial, compliance and operationsAttend broker meetings and market engagements to support business developmentContribute to underwriting strategy and portfolio developmentExperience & KnowledgePrevious experience within aviation underwriting in the London MarketUnderstanding of airline, general aviation or aerospace risksExperience underwriting new business and renewalsStrong knowledge of London Market processes and broker relationshipsCommercial mindset with the ability to assess and price risk appropriatelySkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and underwriting capabilitiesExcellent communication and relationship management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced market environmentAttention to detail with a strong focus on underwriting disciplineTeam-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and brokersWhat's on OfferOpportunity to join a well-established global insurerExposure to a diverse aviation underwriting portfolioCollaborative and experienced aviation teamStrong career development and progression opportunitiesCompetitive salary and benefits package
