Press Officer

A leading public sector organisation seeks an experienced Press Officer to join a fast-paced press office supporting senior leadership. The role covers proactive and reactive media, events, briefings, and multi-channel communications, including social and emerging content platforms.

• Draft press releases, media quotes, briefings, op-eds, and social content.

• Respond to high-volume media enquiries and support events/photo opportunities.

• Advise on media strategy across policy areas.

• Maintain media relationships and contribute to media databases and channels.

• Proven press office experience, ideally in public sector communications.

• Strong writing skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

• Experience with London/national media; knowledge of non-traditional media is a plus.

• Flexible for occasional out-of-hours events.
