Pyrotechnic Assembly Operative

Chalgrove 27,500 Permanent Days


We're recruiting an Assembly Operative for a globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Chalgrove. You'll be assembling pyrotechnic components - cartridges and rocket motors - for aviation safety systems, working with explosive materials in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.


What you'll be doing:

  • Assembling pyrotechnic components to engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Using weighing equipment and specialist tooling to achieve precise tolerances
  • Handling explosive materials safely in accordance with mandatory procedures
  • Reading assembly drawings, identifying part numbers, drawing issues, and batch identification
  • Maintaining and monitoring tools and equipment for safe operation
  • Updating SAP to record work in progress and maintain traceability
  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards and explosives compliance requirements
  • Contributing to housekeeping and maintaining a safe, clean working environment


What you need:

  • Production or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (training provided)
  • Understanding of H&S policies and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise tolerances
  • Basic IT and SAP skills
  • Team player who can work independently
  • Good communication skills and proactive approach
  • GCSE grades D-G (or equivalent)


Experience with explosives or pyrotechnic assembly is beneficial, but full training will be provided to the right person with a solid manufacturing background.
