About the Role
Hue Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time, permanent position involving multi-drop deliveries of construction materials across the Hertfordshire area.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with licensing and company regulations
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of construction materials
- Complete multi-drop deliveries according to scheduled routes across the local area
- Maintain accurate records of journey times, mileage, and working hours
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Operate tachograph equipment in accordance with legal requirements
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
Skills & Requirements
- HGV Category C licence (essential)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- HIAB / ALLMI certification (preferred)
- Good understanding of transport regulations and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and professional with a positive attitude
- Strong customer service skills
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 06:45am - 16:15pm (1-hour break)
- Overtime during the week paid at time and a quarter
- Saturday overtime paid at time and a half
- Sociable hours with no overnight stays or late evenings
