Job Description: Join an elite team of Cambridge, Oxford, and UCL PhDs building the future of AI-powered patent technology. As an early engineer, you will push the boundaries of LLM algorithms and agents for a platform seeing 20-30% month-over-month growth. You'll solve high-intensity technical challenges while shipping production systems to 400+ global IP teams.

What you will do:

• Design and implement state-of-the-art LLM-powered systems, agents, and evaluation pipelines to automate complex patent drafting and litigation workflows.
• Architect and scale robust backend infrastructure using Python and PostgreSQL to support a rapidly expanding global user base and massive document volumes.
• Collaborate directly with the founding team to make foundational technical decisions and ship high-impact features to production in rapid cycles.

The ideal candidate:

• Demonstrates exceptional raw intelligence through top-tier academic performance (Olympiad medalist or first-class degree from Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, or MIT).
• Possesses deep technical expertise in AI/ML, specifically with LLMs, and a track record of building production-grade systems or publishing at venues like NeurIPS.
• Exhibits a high-intensity builder mentality with the drive to thrive in an in-person London startup environment where shipping fast is the priority.
