Job Description

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Salary: £80k-£100k + Equity

Company Description: Humaans - YC-backed AI platform for workplace orchestration

Job Description: Join a high-performance team building Athena, an agentic AI layer redefining HR infrastructure. You will own features end-to-end across a modern TypeScript stack, moving beyond simple data management into intelligent orchestration. Working directly with the founders, you'll solve complex problems for global customers like Poolside and Quantexa in a fast-scaling environment.

Location: London, UK

Why this role is remarkable:

  • Work at the forefront of the AI transition in HR tech, building a differentiated platform backed by $20M from the founders of Slack, Figma, and Shopify.
  • High-leverage environment where engineers aren't just handed specs; you'll partner with the CEO and Head of Engineering to shape product strategy and technical architecture.
  • Exceptional engineering culture with a 5-year equity exercise window, top-tier private healthcare, and a small, elite team that prioritizes quality and craftsmanship.

What you will do:

  • Develop and scale end-to-end features using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Postgres, deployed via Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Architect and expand a public REST API and real-time WebSocket infrastructure to support a growing marketplace of third-party integrations.
  • Collaborate deeply with product and design teams to translate complex workforce data models into reliable, AI-driven automation workflows for global enterprises.

The ideal candidate:

  • Extensive industry experience in full-stack SaaS development with deep proficiency in Node.js and a strong appreciation for TypeScript.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership of vague product problems and driving them to high-quality, customer-ready releases in a fast-paced startup.
  • Strong product sense and design craftsmanship, with the ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic business trade-offs and user impact.
